The WTSMS Symposium provides a forum for Sports Medicine Specialists to learn about and discuss concepts related to preventing, treating, and rehabilitating injured athletes and patients. Breakfast will be provided by WTSMS Lunch and 2 hours of tee boxes provided for Covenant Health after lectures

About the event
Course Objectives
By the end of the program, participants will be able to:
1. Understand differences in clinical settings between sports medicine orthopedics and traumatology.
2. Examine best practices for using manual therapy techniques with athletes and patients.
3. Study the nature of hip fractures and other hip related injuries, particularly in a trauma setting.
4. Evaluate return to play criteria for various populations to determine best practices.
Intended Audience: This course is designed to provide useful information to Licensed & Certified Athletic Trainers.
Continuing Education Units: Texas Tech University HSC (BOC AP# P2764) is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc. to provide continuing education to Athletic Trainers. This program is eligible for a maximum of 4.0 Category A hours/CEUs. Level: Advanced; Domains: II, III, & IV
